The Solent Hotel & Spa supporting the Honeypot charity...

• The Solent Hotel has been supporting and fundraising for Honeypot since August 2008.
  
  The Honeypot Charity was set up in 1996 to provide long-term support for very vulnerable children and young carers throughout their childhood, from the ages of 5 to 12.
  
  The Honeypot House opened its doors to children in April 1998 and 'allows children to be children again' - to learn and play in a nurturing environment and to make new friends
  
  A child’s journey with Honeypot begins with:

  • A week long respite break at the Honeypot house.
  • Annual repeat weekend breaks at the Honeypot House or at the Out of Town Farm in Beaulieu.
  • Birthday & Christmas cards and presents.
  • Visits to the Honeypot Playbus, a doubledecker play centre on wheels. 

  The Solent Hotel & Spa hosted many events throughout 2009  in support of the Honeypot charity including an Evening at the musicals, a special Halloween dinner and a Caribbean style barbeque.

  Our staff even took part in a 24 Hour Charity Cycle at the hotel to raise further funds. A tiring experience but worth it in the end - raising £597.10.

  Our most recent events throughout December saw us raise just short of £700.00 bringing our total to an amazing - £3533.42.
